What is Tarkov? Who is Tarkov? Why is Tarkov….I’m sure all of these questions are going through your brain right now but look no more. Escape from Tarkov is a video game that was made by Battlestate Games for Computers.
Tarkov is a MMO-style game. It is one of the most hardcore games ever made available to the public. It is just like real life….sort’ve.
You can find loot in-game and if you’re lucky, extract from the map and be able to go into another raid with the loot you just found. You can also trade loot with the dealers in the game or sell the items for in game currencies such as: roubles, dollars or euro’s.
There are seven maps total you can play on at the moment. These maps are: Customs, Woods, Reserve, Interchange, Factory, Shoreline and The Lab or “Labs” as most people call it. These maps are all extremely different in their own way, such as Labs is a very small map where a lot of people with juicy loot go, to find more good loot. Woods however, is very spaced out with very wide open area’s with a lot of tree’s to hide around. No matter what play style you have, you will be able to find maps you’ll like. These maps are very spacious and very unlike Call of Duty. It is a realistic game.
As for your character, you can adjust how much sound you make for the speed you walk or crouch. You can lean in almost every direction which is very different compared to other games. You can lean over counters or lean completely sideways while prone and lean on the side of your body. The movement mechanics are very janky, like in PUBG.
As for healing, this game is superior but yet again, also very realistic.
You have 3 types of medicine in Tarkov. Painkillers, Medical Supplies and Surgical Kits. For painkillers, you have: Painkillers, Vaseline, Goldenstar’s (Better Vaselines), Augmentin, Ibuprofen and Injectors. There are A LOT of different kind’s of injectors that do a lot of different things. These things could be, regeneration, increased strength and stimulants. You can have these at the expense of becoming Dehydrated at a faster rate or losing energy (which you gain from eating food). As for Medical Supplies, you have AI-2 Kits which can only heal 100 health points, I-FAC kits that can heal 300 health points, Salewa’s that heal 400 and Grizzly kits have 1500 health points. Finally there are surgery kits. Splints also go in this category. There are Survb-12 kits which allow you to fix fractures and revive a blacked-out limbs.
